Article Submission Guidelines

How to Submit Articles to HelloGrief

We welcome the work of new and established writers of all ages.

Writers new to HelloGrief should send an outline that introduces your article and highlights some of the points you intend to make. Your query should also include how you think the article will benefit our readers. Queries and article proposals must be submitted electronically to with the subject line of PROPOSED HELLOGRIEF ARTICLE.

What to Pitch

We are open to a variety of topics related to our mission of hosting a discussion about the impact of loss and being a community of support for those living with grief. Below are a list of suggested topics.

  • Personal stories of loss
  • Personal stories of grief, what grief feels like and how it changes over time
  • Healthy ways to cope with grief
  • Personal stories of celebrating a loved one’s life and legacy
  • Lessons learned about life after a loss or how a loss has changed you
  • Changes in family traditions and dynamics after a loss
  • Experiences with support groups or grief counseling

Our Readership

Our readers are typically teens and adults who have suffered the loss of a family member or friend, and the individuals who support them.

General Terms

HelloGrief and Comfort Zone Camp reserve the right to publish submitted articles on both of their websites and use in other efforts to provide support to grieving individuals. Authors are also welcome to re-publish submitted articles with other publications.

HelloGrief and Comfort Zone Camp do not pay for articles.
