Grief Summit: Grief and the Family System

Bon Secours Bereavement Center, Comfort Zone Camp, and Full Circle Grief Center are gearing up for the 2014 Grief Summit on Thursday, February 20 in Richmond, Va.

The event will feature a public panel-led discussion with a focus on helping children who have suffered a significant family loss. The event includes a presentation by Maria Trozzi, M.Ed., assistant professor of pediatrics at Boston University School of Medicine and director of the nationally renowned Good Grief Program at Boston Medical Center.

Time: 6-8 pm

Fee and Registration: Open to the public, free of charge, advance registration required

Following a presentation by Maria Trozzi, there will be a panel discussion, featuring professionals, clergy, and a parent grieving the death of a child. This discussion is open to anyone wanting to understand grief in the family system as well as ways to support members of a family who are grieving the death of a loved one.

The discussion panelists are:

  • Anna Whiston-Donaldson, Mother and Blogger
